Motorola offers new handsets, Bluetooth gadgets

LAS VEGAS-In conjunction with the Consumer Electronics Show, Motorola Inc. announced a series of new, advanced wireless handsets, as well as new Bluetooth products and automotive gadgets.

“Motorola is bringing power to the person through seamless mobility,” said Ed Zander, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer. Zander is a keynote presenter at CES. “Whether at home, in the auto, at work or out in the world, we recognize that the consumer is in command, and we develop solutions accordingly. We’re catalysts for-rather than controllers of-the consumer’s experience.”

Motorola’s new devices include:

  • The E815 phone, which supports CDMA EV-DO technology, Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, MP3 player and 40 megabytes of internal memory.

     

  • The EDGE V635 phone, which features a 1.2-megapixel camera and Bluetooth.

     

  • The EDGE V186 phone, which features a color screen.

     

All of the phones are scheduled to be available in the first half of this year.

Motorola also showed off several new Bluetooth products, including a headset, a USB computer adapter and several car kits.
