OSLO, Norway-The Mobile Media Co., which provides entertainment services and mobile marketing applications, acquired gaming developer MindX.
The acquisition gives Mobile Media access to MindX’s interactive crossword puzzle and quiz games to integrate into its range of services. MindX’s games are played via short message service for prizes and have had success with online advertisers by allowing them to place advertisements in an interactive multimedia environment, said the company.
“We provide TV networks with a complete package of interactive TV quiz games, sponsored prizes and SMS gateway technology,” said Kai Hornslein, formerly chief executive officer of MindX and now executive vice president and general manager of Mobile Media Europe. “We also manage logistical aspects of the project that include prize selection, management and distribution.”
MindX’s employees and business operations have moved to Mobile Media’s head office in Oslo, Norway.
