Pacific Growth Equities upgraded its rating for OmniVision Technologies Inc. to over weight from equal weight on news of the company’s new OV7668 CameraChip.
OmniVision, which supplies single-chip CMOS camera solutions, introduced the product this week at the 3GSM Show in Cannes, France. The OV7668 is compliant with the Standard Mobile Imaging Architecture developed by Nokia and STMicroelectronics.
Pacific Growth highlighted the potential upside for OmniVision of a contract with Nokia in revising its rating of the company.
