SAN DIEGO-EWI Holdings Inc. and PRE Solutions Inc. said they have agreed to settle a patent dispute between them that is pending in Federal Court in Marshall, Texas.
Both companies do business in the prepaid transaction and payment processing environment.
Terms of the settlement were not released, however, both companies have jointly dismissed with prejudice all claims in the litigation. EWI filed a lawsuit against PRE Solutions in September 2003, claiming PRE Solutions infringed on its patent relating to processing of prepaid transactions through real-time PIN delivery solutions.
