Intellisync, Sony Ericsson team on e-mail solution

SAN JOSE, Calif.-Intellisync Corp. announced it teamed with Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications L.P. and Ingram Micro to offer out-of-the-box wireless push e-mail services working on the Sony Ericsson P910a smart phone.

“For this joint wireless e-mail solution, it was critical to select a mobility software provider who could seamlessly and securely connect our P910a smart phones to virtually any of today’s popular Internet e-mail or corporate groupware servers” said Gregor Bleimann, head of Enterprise Business Solutions at Sony Ericsson. “By working with Intellisync, we are leveraging robust wireless messaging technology that is renowned for supporting a broad range of applications, devices and data types. We look forward to teaming with Intellisync on similar go-to-market programs in the future.”

In other wireless e-mail news, Telus Mobility in Canada announced it will sell the BlackBerry 7250 from Research In Motion Ltd. The device supports Bluetooth and will sell for $400 with a three-year contract.
