BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.-CYOP Systems International Inc. is dipping its toe in the waters of mobile gaming.
In a prepared statement, the online video game provider said it is in preliminary talks with mobile developers about launching titles for wireless handsets. The game-maker hinted it is exploring both subscription and pay-per-play gaming models as an extension of its Internet games.
CYOP’s online offerings include multi-player pay-per-play skill-game tournaments -which feature cash prizes-and casino games.
“CYOP intends to be the leader in pay-for-play skill wireless gaming,” the company said, “and is actively working with strategic partners to exploit this niche over the next 12 months.”
