RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil-The CDMA Development Group said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the International 450 Association, formerly the NMT Association, to cooperate on promoting CDMA2000 technologies in the 450 MHz band worldwide.
The groups also agreed to work together on technology, regulatory and marketing activities. Focuses included incorporating 450 MHz requirements into CDG-led standards; promoting development of CDMA2000 equipment and devices for the 450 MHz market; developing and promoting interstandard roaming solutions between third- and second-generation technologies, and promoting regulatory polices that facilitate deployment and growth of CDMA2000 at 450 MHz, said the groups.
