ZTE wins contract with Nigerian government

BEIJING-ZTE Corp. won a contract with Nigeria’s Communications Ministry to provide a nationwide rural wireless network in Nigeria, as well as to deploy a handset manufacturing facility and an exhibition and training center there.

The contract, valued at $95 million, builds on an earlier project to bring a rural network to 110 local government regions in the country. The second phase will extend the network to the remaining 225 local government regions.
