SANTA BARBARA, Calif.-Superconductor Technologies Inc. said it has recorded $4 million in orders this year for its SuperPlex and AmpLink products, which are part of the company’s EV-DO product line.
Shipment of the products began in March.
“Recently, there has been a significant amount of spectrum changing hands and several top-tier carriers are now putting that spectrum to use as they aggressively roll out nationwide high-speed data networks,” said Jeff Quiram, president and chief executive officer of the company.
The SuperPlex product allows for the overlay of PCS services onto 850 MHz cellular networks.
The AmpLink solution provides duplexing and uplink enhancement for PCS base stations, said the company. It is available in indoor and outdoor configurations.
STI said both products have been used in 3G rollouts to improve link quality in both forward and reverse directions.
