SEATTLE-Irish m-commerce provider Valista will team with IBM to offer content management and transaction services to wireless carriers.
Valista said the partnership will integrate its software with IBM’s Service Provider Delivery Environment (SPDE), a platform designed to allow businesses to trim development times for new products and services. The companies are already working with an undisclosed Tier 1 operator and are marketing the offering to other carriers.
“This relationship with IBM really supports all the business processes required to run a premium-services business end-to-end in a very clean way,” said Craig McDonald, Valista’s vice president for North America. “Certainly, any operator irrespective of size is someone both IBM and Valista are targeting.”
