BEDMINSTER, N.J.-Verizon Wireless has authorized Mobile DataComm to offer its BroadbandAccess and NationalAccess data services under a national distribution agreement between the two companies.
Mobile DataComm is a wireless data products and services distributor that has established a data-centric distribution channel including systems integrators, value-added resellers and application service providers, said the company.
Verizon’s BroadbandAccess EV-DO-based service allows customers to surf the Internet, check e-mail and download files or attachments at speeds of between 400 and 700 kilobits per second. NationalAccess, which is based on 1xRTT technology, is available for customers traveling outside BroadbandAccess coverage areas and offers speeds of between 60 and 80 kbps.
