ANNAPOLIS, Md.-TeleCommunication Systems Inc., which provides location and wireless data technology, and Skyhook Wireless, which has developed a Wi-Fi location system, said they will cooperate to integrate Skyhook’s system with TCS’ Voice over Internet Protocol service.
“TCS delivers approximately one half of all the wireless E911 calls in the United States. With that level of proven wireless experience, they are a natural choice to work with to provide accurate location data for emergency services in the Wi-Fi and VoIP markets and to continue exploring new opportunities to expand the relationship in the future,” said Ted Morgan, chief executive officer of Skyhook Wireless.
