MIAMI BEACH, Fla.-Energy Telecom Inc. said it plans to seek out acquisition targets to help it diversify its product line and boost shareholder value.
The company’s current focus is on casual audio eyewear and wireless optical projection technology. Potential applications include the ability to use Bluetooth-enabled cell phones for listening to music as well as for use by police, fire, rescue, military and security personnel.
“As we believe our globally patented technology is closer to being offered to a waiting market, we want to capitalize on the availability of what we perceive to be a plethora of small companies having a clear potential to help Energy grow; companies, however, that may be stalled because they lack adequate marketing resources, funding, or strong management,” said Tom Rickards, chief executive officer of the company. “We plan to aggressively and systematically attempt to acquire some of the companies we believe will add to our shareholder’s value.”
