SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.-FiberTower Corp., which provides backhaul services for wireless carriers, said it closed a $150 million financing round led by Crown Castle International Corp.
Other investors included Oak Investment Partners and Affiliates, Tudor Investment Corp. and Affiliates, Goldman Sachs & Co. and Meritech Capital Partners and Affiliates.
Ben Moreland, chief financial officer of Crown Castle International Corp., and Darryl Schall of Tudor Investment Corp. will join FiberTower’s board of directors as part of the investment round.
The funds will be used to roll out service in new and existing markets in the United States. The company said it has raised a total of $225 million to date.
