LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif.-Bitfone Corp., which provides firmware over-the-air update technology for mobile phones, announced two contracts this week.
The company said Chinese handset manufacturer TCL Mobile will use Bitfone’s device management client suite to allow for FOTA and diagnostics capabilities on their mobile handsets. TCL will embed Bitfone’s mProve client for FOTA, its SmartCare client for device profiling and diagnostics and its MVA client for OMA-DM configuration and management, said the companies.
The second contract is with Cellon International, which provides end-to-end design and systems integration services for wireless handsets. Cellon will use Bitfone’s device management client suite to provide device management capabilities on its phone designs.
