Centennial hands out executive bonuses

Regional wireless operator Centennial Communications Corp. reported in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing that its board of directors has approved more than $1.7 million in bonus compensation for a number of executive officers for the fiscal year 2005 ended May 31.

The bonuses include $740,576 for Michael Small, chief executive officer; $395,288 for Thomas Fitzpatrick, executive vice president and chief financial officer; $413,986 for Phillip Mayberry, president of U.S. wireless operations; and $165,844 for Thomas Cogar, executive VP and chief technology officer of Caribbean operations.

Centennial is scheduled to report fourth-quarter and full-year fiscal results Aug. 11. The carrier’s stock was trading down 16 cents per share early Friday at $14.05 per share.
