BELLEVUE, Wash.-T-Mobile USA Inc. announced it will sell the Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. x495 for $50 with a service contract. The phone features an internal antenna, tri-band GSM capabilities and support for downloadable Java games.
Separately, Leap Wireless International Inc. said it will sell two new phones from Kyocera Wireless Corp. Leap will sell Kyocera’s KX13candybar-style phone for $130 and its KX9B clamshell-style phone for $140.
In international phone news, Pantech said it will sell a Bluetooth-capable mobile TV phone in South Korea. Pantech’s new PT-S130 supports the country’s DMB mobile TV standard and features a rotating screen and a 2-megapixel camera. The company said it will sell additional DMB phones this year.
