Brightpoint enters content space with Nordic deal

PLAINFIELD, Ind.-Brightpoint Inc. entered the mobile content space via an agreement with InProdicon AB, which distributes digital content in the Nordic region.

The agreement between Brightpoint Sweden AB and InProdicon calls for the companies to launch a new Web site at www.mediamilkshake.com that will use InProdicon’s technology to offer music bundles, as well as the ability to sample and download polyphonic ringtones or master tones and complete songs. Customers will be able to pay via credit card or mobile payment via premium short message service or WAP.

Brightpoint plans to bundle the music services with Microsoft mobile devices, including smart phones and other devices that use Windows Mobile, for its European dealers and retailers.
