Verizon to offer 3 EA games

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.-Electronic Arts Inc. continued its move to mobile Thursday as Verizon Wireless launched three of the publisher’s most popular titles from Pogo.com, its online gaming community.

The carrier announced the availability of puzzle game Poppit! as well as two card games, Tri-Peaks Solitaire and Turbo 21. Players can create one Pogo.com account for both online and wireless use, allowing them to transfer “tokens” they’ve earned between platforms and track their status on community scoreboards.

Verizon is offering the games at $3 each for monthly access or $5.50 for unlimited use. Pogo.com, which was acquired by EA in 2001 for an undisclosed sum, draws more than 13 million unique visitors a month.
