CALGARY, Alberta-Grayling Wireless USA Inc. signed a deal with Metaform Venture Corp., to purchase Edmonton, Alberta-based Sentai Software’s North American operations.
Sentai Software provides distribution and financial solutions to businesses, using Internet, wireless, and local and wide area network environments to enable companies to manage their front-office, distribution, warehouse and e-commerce requirements in the industrial, consumer goods and electronic industries. Sentai’s clients include Brenntag and AT&T Corp.
“When we reviewed our operations for V-Trax, it became clear that Sentai has exactly the right expertise to manage the technical and licensing aspects of our GPS business,” said Jeff Love, chief executive of Grayling Wireless. “This acquisition will significantly mitigate the need for V-Trax to invest in expertise and infrastructure elsewhere. We are very enthusiastic about this pending acquisition and look forward to working with the Sentai team in growing this company to its full potential.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, and the transaction is conditional upon approvals from both boards of directors.
