FORT MYERS, Fla.-Kentucky-based regional carrier Bluegrass Cellular Inc. has tapped InterOp Technologies Inc. to provide ring-back services, the companies said.
InterOp, which powers mobile data services for Tier 2 and 3 operators, will deliver its library of ring backs, including real tones, sports anthems and voice tones, for Bluegrass. Ring backs take the place of the traditional ring a caller hears while waiting for the called party to answer.
“Once again, Bluegrass is providing its customers with a leading-edge service,” said John Dwyer, president of InterOp. “It not only enables customers to entertain callers while they wait, but they can even select personalized ring-back tones for each individual caller.”
InterOp delivers text and multimedia message services, a WAP gateway and other offerings to regional operators. Bluegrass provides wireless services in central Kentucky.
