SCHAUMBURG, Ill.-Motorola Inc. announced cash tender offers for up to $1 billion of certain of its outstanding debt.
The company said the offer included all the $200 million aggregate principal amount outstanding of its 6.5-percent notes due in 2008 and all $325 million aggregate principal amount outstanding of its 5.8-percent notes due in 2008.
The company also announced a partial tender offer for its outstanding 7.625-percent notes due in 2010 and its 8-percent notes due in 2011. The aggregate principal amount of notes accepted in the partial tender offer will be equal to $1 billion minus the aggregate principal amount of notes tendered and not withdrawn in the full tender offer.
The company said that unless the deadline is extended, the tender offers for the notes will expire Sept. 28.
