Cellon to use Trolltech Linux software

PALO ALTO, Calif.-Trolltech said Cellon International AB is using its Qtopia software for Linux-based mobile phones as the application development foundation of Cellon’s C8000 handset platform.

Cellon is an independent design house for wireless devices. The company’s C8000 platform is designed for wireless handsets that offer full multimedia capabilities, including a media player and megapixel video and still camera.

Trolltech’s Qtopia technology is a customizable development environment and user interface for mobile phones and personal digital assistants that allows manufacturers and operators to develop Linux-based devices.
