REDWOOD CITY, Calif.-Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. and Ubiquity Software Corp. signed a partnership agreement to develop end-to-end Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem solutions, pairing Ubiquity’s Session Initiation Protocol application server as an embedded part of Huawei’s IMS-based portfolio of products.
Ubiquity said it expects to deliver a solution that supports wireless, wireline and converged SIP-based application server platforms later this year.
“Huawei’s fast-growing presence in the global service provider marketplace enables our SIP Application Server to reach a wide pool of fixed and mobile service providers,” said Ian McLaren, chief executive of Ubiquity.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
