PARIS-InfraWorlds has acquired California-based publisher Mobile Digital Media to expand its offerings for personal digital assistants and smart-phone users.
The Paris-based company said it bought MDM’s assets from former parent company Quickoffice Inc. for an undisclosed sum. MDM develops and distributes consumer software such as EA Sports Madden 06 and Microsoft Age of Empires for high-end phones.
The move follows InfraWorlds’ July acquisition of 995 Soft, which develops and distributes games and lifestyle applications.
“We see great potential in adding MDM’s sales and distribution capabilities to InfraWorlds’ core strengths in creative development,” said Morgan Slain, the former general manager at MDM who will continue to oversee distribution of content.
