DALLAS-Samsung Telecommunications America reported a new relationship with Alltel Corp. to bring Samsung’s line-up of handsets to Alltel’s network. The initial device launched as part of the deal will be Samsung’s SCH-n330 handset, which is already available from Verizon Wireless.
In addition to Alltel now offering Samsung handsets, both companies said they are sponsoring the North American tour of Simple Plan, which will include exclusive concert dates for Alltel customers in Norfolk, Va.; Cleveland; Phoenix; Tampa, Fla.; and Charlotte, N.C. Alltel customers in those markets will receive two tickets to the concert with the purchase of the Samsung SCH-n330.
Alltel also offers handsets from Nokia Corp., Motorola Inc., LG Electronics Co. Ltd., Kyocera Corp., Audiovox Corp., and Research In Motion Ltd.
