LOS ANGELES-Soon-to-launch mobile virtual network operator Amp’d Mobile Inc. reported that Sue Swenson has joined the company as chief operating officer and a member of its board of directors. Swenson previously served as COO of T-Mobile USA Inc. and before that as president and COO of Leap Wireless International Inc.
“I’m inspired by the unique approach Amp’d Mobile is taking with mobile entertainment and the youth market and I see immense potential with this new company,” Swenson said.
Amp’d is expected to launch its youth-oriented MVNO service next month using Verizon Wireless’ CDMA2000 1x and EV-DO network.
