Capcom opening LA mobile gaming division

SUNNYVALE, Calif.-Video game publisher Capcom said it plans to establish a mobile division based in Los Angeles.

The Mobile and Interactive Division plans to release at least 10 titles in North America from Capcom’s library of games. Among the games planned for release are 1942, Ghosts ‘n Goblins, Mega Man and Resident Evil.

The division will be led by Midori Yuasa, who has been named general manager and senior vice president. Also joining the company’s mobile efforts is Stuart Platt, who was named studio and deployment director. Platt joins the company from THQ Wireless where he was director of product development.
