MIAMI-Strax Holdings Inc., which sells mobile phones, phone accessories and data services, announced it acquired European accessory makers more…Mobilfunkzubehor GmbH and more…International Ltd.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“The new company will become one of the largest and fastest-growing mobile-phone accessory companies in the world with offices in 10 countries spanning three continents with annual turnover of around $200 million in 2005,” said Ingvi Tomasson, chairman and chief executive officer of Strax.
The company noted that it expects sales to increase to about $250 million in 2006 and said both companies plan to continue to operate under their existing names.
“This acquisition, together with an aggressive growth strategy, underlines our determination to penetrate key markets and geographies and to compete at the very highest level,” said Birgir Birgisson, vice president of sales and managing director of Europe, Middle East and Africa at Strax.
