CERRITO, Calif.-Cingular Wireless L.L.C. reported a deal with Gigante USA Inc. targeting Latino wireless users in Southern California.
The carrier said it plans to operate kiosks in all nine Gigante supermarkets in downtown Los Angeles, Anaheim, Chino and other cities. Gigante USA is owned by Grupo Gigante Mexico, Mexico’s third-largest retailer with 260 outlets in 19 Mexican states.
“Becoming an integral part of the Latino community means being visible and available in places like Gigante, where many of our customers already shop,” said Mauro Martinez, director of diversity for Cingular.
