BOTHELL, Wash.-Dexterra Inc., a mobile business software developer, announced a $12 million round of funding led by its new investor, Mesirow Financial. Existing investors include Motorola Ventures, Intel Capital, Canaan Partners and Sigma Partners.
Dexterra said it plans to use the funds to continue its global expansion, as well as for research and development of its Dexterra Concert platform, which the company says will provide a multitude of new mobile applications.
“The convergence of lower cost powerful wireless devices and low cost higher bandwidth wireless networks are definitely driving this market,” said Thomas Galuhn, senior managing director of Mesirow Financial. “We are attracted to Dexterra because they have an excellent management team in place, a proven mobile software offering and successful deployments around the globe across several vertical industries.”
