BARCELONA, Spain—Walt Disney Co. licensing partner Dmobo launched a limited-edition Mickey Mouse-themed mobile phone.
The M900 phone, produced by Korea’s NewGen Telecom Co., is a tri-band GSM device that includes a 1.3-megapixel camera. It comes in three colors and includes a charm strap in the shape of Mickey Mouse’s white glove.
The device is not connected with Disney’s planned mobile virtual network operator service, which is expected to launch this summer using Sprint Nextel Corp.’s CDMA network.
The M900 includes a leather enclosure, dubbed Mickey Magic Leather, provided by Inclosia Solutions. The enclosure incorporates embossed Mickey Mouse motifs.
Inclosia, a unit of The Dow Chemical Company, sells technology that allows fabrics, leather, wood and metal to be combined with plastics and molded into various electronics gadgets.
