ATLANTA, Ga.—Cingular Wireless L.L.C. introduced a product the company said integrates mobile and office communications. Cingular’s OfficeReach, a voice-based Virtual Private Network, offers such perks as the ability to establish a one-number service that allows an employee to be reached at a desk phone, mobile phone, home or any other specified location.
OfficeReach’s other features include abbreviated dialing, so workers can be contacted at their desks or mobile phones by a single extension number of two to five digits. Businesses can set up calling zones in which they are offered special rates on fixed and cellular service, as well as call restriction options aimed at reducing unauthorized calls on company wireless devices. OfficeReach also allows administration of services via a single Web-based interface; employees can also set up personal services by using the Internet.
The OfficeReach product is available to business customers with a qualified Cingular business agreement.
