FRAMINGHAM, Mass.—Next month’s LinuxWorld Conference & Expo will include a mobile Linux focus, according to conference organizer IDG World Expo.
In addition, the show floor will feature a Mobile Linux Pavilion, with scheduled exhibitors including Palm OS vendor Access Co Ltd., Open Source Development Labs and the Linux Phone Standards Forum.
IDG said the move reflects the growing momentum of Linux in the mobile phone space. Already, Motorola Inc., NEC Corp. and others have built Linux-based devices, and Palm OS vendor Access has announced plans to build the Palm OS around a Linux software base.
The show is scheduled to be held April 3-6 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
