IRVINE, Calif.-More people preferred comedies and adventure movies over Academy Award-winning best picture “Crash” when searching for movie information over mobile devices.
Go2 Movies announced the top most-searched movies in 2005. “Wedding Crashers” came in at No. 1, while “Crash” ranked 11th.
The mobile search company said it delivered more than 71 million mobile-phone page views of real-time local movie guide content, up 34 percent from 53 million page views in 2004. Go2 also averaged more than 377,000 unique mobile-phone users monthly, up 40 percent from an average of 268,000 in 2004.
