LAS VEGAS—Mobile search provider Medio Systems Inc. said it acquired WebRelevance in a move to bolster its mobile advertising platform.
WebRelevance provides software and services in the contextual advertising space, which is Web advertising that targets specific users based on content they access. For example, a user accessing content about sports scores might be targeted with an offer to purchase tickets to an upcoming game. Medio said the acquisition will allow it to provide targeted advertisements on mobile devices.
