SUNNYVALE, Calif.—Location-based services provider Trimble Mobile Solutions Inc. said it plans to acquire Eleven Technology Inc., a Massachusetts-based developer of wireless applications.
Terms of the all-cash deal were not disclosed.
Eleven Technology provides real-time information to mobile field workers who deliver consumer products such as beverages and baked goods to retail outlets. Trimble, which has grown to a 2,400-employee company since its founding in 1978, said it will integrate Eleven’s wares with its own offerings, which are based on TPS technology.
“Eleven Technology is a leader for mobile computing application software in the consumer packaged goods segment,” said Trimble President Rick Beyer. “We are well-positioned to lead this vertical segment as well as leverage our mobile work force and fleet management applications into a fully integrated mobile resource management solution.”
