Mobile ESPN expands handset lineup with Samsung’s slim Ace

NEW YORK—Mobile ESPN L.L.C. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. announced Samsung’s Ace handset is now available to Mobile ESPN subscribers.

The Ace, based on Samsung’s A900 handset currently available through Sprint Nextel Corp., is a slim handset—a little over one-half-inch thick—and weighs about 3.5 ounces. The handset sports a red and black keypad and an ESPN logo along with an ‘E’ button at the center of the keypad that launches personalized Mobile ESPN content.

The phone also features a large QVGA display and stereo speakers, a 1.3 megapixel camera with built-in flash and digital zoom lens, a camcorder, Bluetooth functionality and an MP3/AAC music player.
