EVERETT, Wash.—Intermec Inc. said it filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Alien Technology Corp., claiming Alien’s radio-frequency identification products infringe on Intermec’s patents.
The company filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. Intermec said Alien’s products infringe on 10 of its patents. Alien sells RFID tags and readers.
Alien declined to comment on the lawsuit.
Intermec said it also filed a motion to dismiss a declaratory judgment action filed by Alien in the U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota on the grounds that the court does not have jurisdiction to hear the case. Alien maintains an office in Fargo, N.D.
