ATLANTA—Cingular Wireless L.L.C. expanded the availability of Good Technology Inc.’s Mobile Messaging for its business customers. Cingular customers now can get Good Mobile Messaging for IBM Lotus Domino; the carrier has been offering the mobile e-mail platform for Microsoft Corp. Exchange since last year.

According to Cingular, the IBM Lotus Domino product is available initially on the 2125 Smartphone, 8100 series Pocket PCs, the iPAQ hw6500 series Pocket PCs and Palm Inc. Treo devices. The product provides a “two-way, wirelessly synchronized connection to IBM Lotus Notes functions and other features,” Cingular said, as well as data encryption, remote data wipe, password policy management, and over-the-air device provisioning and management.

Michael Woodward, executive director of mobile professional solutions for Cingular, said that the new product “gives companies that use the Lotus Domino platform a powerful choice with which to access their e-mail and other important information wirelessly.”
