- 292 is the magic number for Finland’s Lassi Etelatalo, who threw a Nokia cell phone 292 feet to win the World Mobile Phone Throwing Championships. The event’s organizers said about 100 people participated in the 7th annual contest, which was held in Finland. The winning throw in the women’s division was 167 feet, which represented a new world record, according to organizers. Finland is also home to such high-profile sporting events as the Wife-Carrying World Championships and the Sauna World Championships.

The technology can remotely lock a stolen handset and erase all data from it as soon as it is reported stolen. After that, the Synchronica Scream Feature can be activated. The feature causes a high-pitched wail to be emitted from the stolen device.
