PLANO, Texas—Oracle Corp. said it plans to acquire MetaSolv Inc., which provides service fulfillment operations support system solutions, in a cash merger valued at about $219.2 million.
The agreement is subject to stockholder and regulatory approvals and is expected to close later this year or early next year. MetaSolv is expected to become part of Oracle’s Communications Global Business Unit.
MetaSolv’s solutions support a variety of communications services, including mobile and Voice over Internet Protocol. The company’s products provide OSS service fulfillment functions such as provisioning, network inventory and activation.
The company’s clients include Brasil Telecom, British Telecom, Cable & Wireless, O2, Singtel, Telstra, T-Mobile and Vodafone.
