SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.-Businesses are finally implementing wireless data application use on a widespread basis, according to a new report by researchers at Scottsdale, Ariz.-based In-Stat.
According to the market research firm, the number of business users having at least one data application in the field has “increased significantly.”
More than 75 percent of organizations use at least one wireless data applications, according to In-Stat, and larger businesses are also getting more sophisticated in their use of wireless applications.
“The widespread adoption of wireless data technology, which has been forecast as expanding quickly ‘two years from now’ since the late 1970s, is finally here,” says Bill Hughes, In-Stat analyst.
“The nature of the productivity benefits vary by vertical market, but the value is universal.”
