Vodafone Group plc became the latest carrier to partner with MySpace.com, agreeing to allow subscribers to edit profiles, message friends and post photos from their wireless phones.
The operator said it will preload MySpace Mobile on selected handsets as well as offering a downloadable application through its Vodafone Live mobile data service. The effort will launch in England before moving to the operator’s other European markets.
MySpace has similar arrangements in the United States with Cingular Wireless L.L.C. and mobile virtual network operator Helio L.L.C.
“Millions of people use MySpace as their primary means of communicating with family and friends, so it’s vital we make this available on the move,” said Colin Digiaro, MySpace’s senior vice president of international corporate development.
