Palm offers update for daylight-saving time extension

Palm Inc. has released a software update that addresses the extension of daylight-saving time that begins this year.
Users can download the Palm software update to their PC or Mac from Palm’s Web site and sync it to their Palm device, said Palm. Alternatively, users can access the update via over-the-air solutions.
The updates for both Palm OS and Windows Mobile phones from Palm can be found at Palm’s Web site.
The four-week extension is part of the U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005 and makes daylight-saving time start March 11. Earlier this month, Microsoft announced a similar update for Windows Mobile devices.
