Alltel expands smartphone plans

Alltel Corp. recently introduced a new line of postpaid plans for smartphones that include unlimited data use and its MyCircle offering.
The Smart Choice Packs start at $70 per month for individuals and $90 per month for families. Except for the $70 plan, all of the plans include unlimited off-peak calling with nights starting at 7 p.m., unlimited text messaging, unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling and the carrier’s MyCircle service.
The family plans are allowed to have one smartphone on the plan, and up to four family members with consumer handsets can be added for an additional $20 each per month.
Smart Choice Packs range up to 2,000 minutes per month for both individual and family plans; both individual and family 2,000 minute plans are priced at $140 per month.
