The following list details this week’s infrastructure awards for the cellular, Wi-Fi and WiMAX industries. The contracts are broken down by transmission technology, country and vendor. The value of the contract is included when available.

- Europe: Blyk, a Pan-European MVNO, chose Nokia Siemens Networks to supply, build and host its core network.
- Turkey: L.M. Ericsson said it signed a contract to enhance Turkcell’s network capacity.
WiMAX - United Kingdom: Pipex Wireless selected Nokia Siemens Networks to provide WiMAX equipment as it expands services nationwide.
Wi-Fi - United Kingdom: Strix Systems said it deployed its outdoor wireless mesh network equipment for Briteyellow in Milton Keynes.
Miscellaneous - United States: Ricochet Networks said it reached an agreement with the city and county of Denver to incorporate Wi-Fi, WiMAX and other broadband services into the city’s existing right-of-way contract with the company. Also in the United States, Globecomm Systems Inc. and UTStarcom Inc. said they formed a technology partnership to demonstrate the benefits of a hosted satellite solution to address enterprise campus mobile connectivity. The companies said they have created a nationwide demonstration network linking multiple picocells that serve their office buildings. All backhaul and call control is handled via satellite through a hosted solution.
