Comverse Technology Inc. announced former AT&T Wireless Services Inc. executive Andre Dahan, 58, will become the company’s president, CEO and board member beginning April 30.
“Andre has achieved an extraordinary track record of success in growing and delivering superior operating results at telecommunications and technology businesses in highly competitive markets around the world as well as in driving key corporate and product innovations-always with a focus on serving the needs of customers,” said Mark Terrel, chairman of the board of directors. “Andre gets results, and as we continue to focus on building the value of our business, we are confident that he is the right leader at the right time.”
Dahan said, “I am honored to have this opportunity and excited by the possibilities that lie ahead for Comverse Technology.”
The former president and CEO of AWS’ Mobile Multimedia Services replaces Zeev Bregman, who left the company as CEO at the end of March.
Bregman presided over Comverse during the company’s recent stock-option grant troubles. Indeed, Comverse founder and former chairman Jacob “Kobi” Alexander, who is suspected of benefiting from backdated grants, was a fugitive from justice until his September arrest in Namibia.
