Infrastructure awards wrap-up: L.M. Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent and more

The following list details this week’s infrastructure awards for the cellular, Wi-Fi, and WiMAX industries. The contracts are broken down by transmission technology, country and vendor. The value of the contract is included when available.
Cellular
–Indonesia: PT Indosat awarded a contract to L.M. Ericsson to expand its W-CDMA/HSPA network coverage in greater Jakarta.
–United States: Ntelos Holdings Corp. chose Alcatel-Lucent to upgrade its network with CDMA 2000 1x EV-DO Rev. A equipment. The three-year agreement is valued at up to $88.2 million.
WiMAX
–Brazil: Redline Communications Inc. said Neovia has chosen its RedMAX products for the initial stage of a planned $30 million fixed wireless network.
–United States: Alvarion Ltd. announced it won a contract to provide AT&T Alascom with its BreezeMAX 2.3 GHz TDD equipment as part of the carrier’s WiMAX deployment in Alaska.
