Major League Baseball unveiled a widget that gives BlackBerry owners one-click access to its wireless Web site.
The application can be downloaded free by visiting MLB.com, and is available free aside from carrier data charges. MLB Advanced Media LP, the interactive media arm of pro baseball, worked with Research In Motion Ltd. to develop the widget.
“This integration will allow fans streamlined access to the MLB.com mobile site for the latest scores, standings, statistics, fantasy news and team information from all 30 Major League clubs, wherever and whenever their needs arise,” said Adam Ritter, vice president of wireless for MLB Advanced Media.
